The FACTS of KNIFE!

Cutting someone with a knife is not the same as shooting someone with a gun. To attack another with the blade requires an elevated level of aggressiveness, willingness & boldness to initiate. You have to be in eye-to-eye range to initiate contact which means they may lay hands on you during the altercation. Then when you do accomplish your goal of landing a good cut, their blood will spill onto you making all additional contact unpleasant & slippery. And the knife doesn't offer the man-stopping power that guns usually do. It can take several hits just to slow your attacker down.

Use of the knife for self-defense can be risky and messy. It is an ancient personal protection relic, favored today above guns and bombs by a minimal few who hold a primitive, abnormal, almost extinct intimacy for the act of combat, especially when life is at risk.

Modern knife wielders view a moment of having to defend their life, as an opportunity to prove that his life is worthy above the life of the one who has dared to profess their life as worthless, by attacking them. The modern knife wielder would prefer a close up, face to face battle with this person instead of a distant, risk-free win gift wrapped by technology. The knife wielder doesn't want his fights fought and won for him by unfair advantages that don't require courage, character, or heart to use. The knife wielder wants to participate fully in the greatest battle he or she will ever see. The battle for his own life.

Choosing the position as a knife fighter for one's personal protection is particular stance to take, and commitment to make. The majority of people never would & will frown upon those who do as senseless and even weak because they don't choose the more powerful gun over the knife. And those who choose the gun will believe themselves to be more powerful and dangerous than the knife fighter. And the gun slinger couldn't be more wrong than to believe that.

The true knife wielder is in no way weaker, less dangerous, or even less safe than the gun slinger. In fact, the knife wielder is most likely stronger, more dangerous, and safer, because he is humbly aware of the disadvantages of being the knife wielder. And this humble awareness allows him to covertly steer around and out of the reach of these disadvantages so they can neither harm him, or interfere with any action that he would be prepared to make with a knife to defend himself.

The knife wielder is vigilant, calm, patient, grateful, brave, sincere, non-hesitant, vicious, and unforgiving when activated. The knife wielder is to be feared far more than the gun slinger. Because the knife wielder's strength stems from his mindset to position himself when required in the place that makes the use of his knife, unstoppable.
