Don’t Be A Burden
If you are going to be a living representative of the Warrior’s Edge, you have to be self-reliant. Self Reliance is the signature character trait of the Warrior’s Edge. It is what makes the Warrior’s Edge and the Warrior’s Edge could not exist without it. The warrior is sickened by the simpleton idea that any adult person could think for one second, that it is acceptable for them to expect another person to be responsible for the needs of their life.

Nature’s Right Of Passage
From the day we leave the care of our parents, and sometimes even before then, our first duty and responsibility as a creature becomes to take care of ourselves. It is a rule of nature that every being from tiny insects to giant whales follow. Even the non-human animals of planet earth follow this rule without backlash or resistance. Human beings are the only animals who try to abandon that the law of self-resilience is more than just a responsibility. It is nature's divine anointment of one’s trust and true freedom over one's own life and death. Self reliance is the ultimate crowning for every creature into adulthood, where he or she no longer has to rely on others to take care of him, and can now be relied upon by those who righteously need to be taken care of.
You Are Your Personal Property
Regardless of who birthed, clothed, fed, housed, raised, or educated us, none of that matters when it comes down to what will happen to our life. This is because we will spend most of our life with ourselves, and even if someone spent as much time as they possibly could in our life, their attendance and even sincere acts of taking care of us will not come close to influencing our life as much as we will. Our natural exploratory instincts will push and pull us from under their safety blanket, out into the trials and risks of life. No matter how sheltered and privileged we may be, nature will come for us one day and smack us in the face with life.
Prized Possession
Each of us is issued a life at birth that belongs 100% to us and only us. Not our parents, not our spouses, not our friends, not our enemies, not some dictator, not a government, and not an idea. It doesn’t even belong to the entity or force that sent us here. Our life belongs to us until we are done with it and it is taken away to an unknown place. Even if we are sentenced by the courts of our society to prison or even death, our life still does not belong to them. This is because regardless of how strong of an influence or effect someone strives to have on our life from the outside, we determine within how, or even if, we will allow their effort to affect us along with how we will respond to it.
Death Without Dying
To allow the existence and outcomes of our life to rely on the actions of someone else who has their own life is beyond insane, and a direct insult to whatever force gave us life. Not only is it illogical to find comfort and self approval under the umbrella of another’s self reliance, it is ungrateful. Without self reliance we are surrendering the direction of our life to those who we rely on. It may even be appropriate to say that we are making them our God.
