Stolen Power of the GODS

(excerpt from "The WARRIOR'S EDGE")

Judgment Day

Judgment.  The word itself when spoken carries the power to silence or panic a room full of people.  That’s because most of us fear judgment more than we actually do death.  Now this could be because we feel that the person or people who are judging us will be unfair, and that’s sensible.  However, would we still fear judgment even if we knew for a fact that it was going to be 100% fair, and that we were going to righteously get what we deserve?  Heck!  We may even be more afraid of fair judgment than unfair judgment.

Loaded Gun To A Child

To accept or demand the duty of judging someone or something is a responsibility far greater than I think mankind would even dare to imagine.  This is because there is usually an act that follows a judgment which usually is some sort of a punishment that can not be recovered from, forgotten, reimbursed, or at times even forgiven.  Therefore, if the one who chose to issue judgment made even the smallest mistake in this duty, a life has been unfairly disrupted and possibly ruined along with the lives of all who care for, or depend on that individual.  It is a bold and daring risk to play part as the judge when real lives are at stake.

UnAccurate Righteousness

The only one(s) that could be counted on to hand out 100% fair, untainted judgment at all times to all people, would be God, or the Gods who can see all everywhere, always.  To accurately measure how the life of someone should be treated by us for a deed that they have done, which is the only, or a miniscule thing that we know about them, we would have to know the untampered truth of everything that has occurred in his or her life since birth.  We need to know all that led up to their behavior at that moment.  We would have to consider all variables from childhood, opportunities, influences, tragedies, privileges, intentions, education, learning ability, self value, and much more if we truly plan to judge fairly in the eyes of God himself.

In Their Shoes

If we were ever to discover that we would have probably done the exact same thing, or worse than an offender if we had been faced with the same situation that he has just been condemned for, we would be unjust and even cruel to judge him to be punished.  We in fact should be speaking up for this person because we understand and are like him.  But we won’t because we don’t want to go against the grain.  And this is why the power of judging may be too strong for mankind.
